The Goal
Invite 10 individuals (team members) to participate in this challenge through Wish 100. These 10 individuals will ask 20 people to donate $35 so that each team member can participate. The team’s total donation should reach $7,000, which not only grants a wish (the average wish cost is $7,000) but helps the Foundation reach its goal of granting more than 450 wishes in North Texas in 2009. Just find your 10 people, name your team and choose the wish type that you would like to adopt!
The Reward
Teams that raise $7,000 or more will become a part of an elite group for Wish 100. Your team will receive an invitation to the Ink Party to meet their adopted Wish Child. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas will send you a wish story about the child’s wish you adopted for you to share with your teammates and friends!
How To Begin
- Invite 10 individuals to be your Team Members - Explain the challenge and share information about the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas.
- Download the 10*20*35 Pledge Team Sheet from the Wish 100 website.
- Upon receipt you will be contacted with approval and provided with wish child information, template letters for solicitation and team pledge sheets.
- Contact your 10 team members with the good news that your Challenge Event is approved! Encourage them to develop their “20's List” of who they will contact for contributions. Provide team members with tools, including donation forms.
- Send continued updates to the team members throughout the challenge and congratulate those that reach the goal before the event.
- Celebrate success at Wish 100! At the event, share the information with the rest of the team about the child whose wish you’ve made possible.
